Looking After The Environment

As the use of the environment for our daily work is essential, Mountains to Water sees the importance of protecting it, and have seen many examples of not protecting the natural environment.

It is the companies aim to protect and care for the environment as much as possible, by reducing and managing our company’s footprint in the office, on the road and on the hill. Helping to maintain and where possible repair the natural environment of the UK that we rely upon.

All clients participating in Mountain to Water activities will be instructed upon care for the environment and have discussions on environmental impact and what they can do to help, whilst on activity and when back at home.

Mountains to Water has worked with many organizations to help maintain the environment and you may see some of the work on Helvelyn where Craig has volunteered his time for Fix the Fells, where he helped with Rock Stabilization near the main footpaths.

Mountains to Water is a member of the National Trust and British Association for Shooting Conservation supporting the work they do helping maintain the environment and history of the UK.

The Lake District National Park authority is the organization which is responsible for managing the Lake District, from the footpaths to tourism strategies and publicity. Craig is a volunteer Warden for this authority and as such helps maintain the woodland, and landscape.

Mountain to Water understands the need for respect to the environment and will also use efficient vehicle for all activities and recycling as much as possible to help protect the larger environment as a whole.
