The Lake District 12 Peaks in 12 hours Challenge – this is super tough! This challenge is a high level traverse across the high peaks of England.
The 12 in 12 will test your endurance and strength. It is set in the stunningly, beautiful Lake District.
The challenge is to climb 12 peaks within 12 hours, during which you will encounter difficult terrain, steep ascents (2878m) and descents along the way. It also has sections of mountain scrambling which only adds to the challenge and excitement on the day
Your mental and physical strength will be tested to the max and encouragement within the team is essential.
Why not challenge yourself and a team of colleagues with this exciting 12 Peaks event which provides an excellent platform for both team building and/or charity fundraising.
This event is a very demanding challenge and it should not be underestimated. It requires a high level of fitness and thorough preparation, especially for those individuals without prior experience of high level mountain walks.
The route starts on the shores of Wast Water then heads north, around Mosedale valley taking in Yewbarrow 627m, Red Pike 821m, Steeple 843m, Pillar 892m, Kirk Fell 802m and Great Gable 899m.
We then head into the Scafell range taking in Scafell Pike 978m, Broad Crag 930m, Great End 910m and Allen Crag 785m.
Our last 2 peaks are Glaramara 783m and Rosthwaite Fell 612m. From here we then head down to the finish at Seatoller.
